2017/18 Principal Message

Welcome everyone to our website!

The Meadow Green staff and I hope that our families have enjoyed a fun filled, yet restful, summer vacation. We are looking forward to hearing about all the activities, events, and trips the children have experienced these past months.

As you may know, Mrs. Kaneshiro has newly retired after 23 years of dedicated service to the families and students of Meadow Green School and the Lowell Joint School District. We wish Mrs. Kaneshiro many wonderful years ahead as she looks forward to spending quality time with her husband and family!

As we begin the new 2017/18 school year, the staff and families of Meadow Green can celebrate the academic achievements made by our students and teachers on the recent spring 2017 SBAC testing!

As a recognized 2010 and 2014 California Distinguished School as well as a 2016 California Gold Award School, the success of Meadow Green’s program is attributed to the dedication of all individuals who work with our children daily.  Teachers, support staff, parents, guardians, grandparents, family friends, tutors, and day care facilitators form a unique community of caring adults whom take their jobs seriously and strive to profoundly impact each child in our care.

The Meadow Green community seeks to develop the full academic, cognitive, moral and social-emotional potentials of the children.  We believe that powerful learning encounters happen everyday and we recognize the necessity for open communication between both home and school.

The P.R.I.D.E. Program at Meadow Green stands for Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Our students, teachers and parents are committed to accepting and succeeding at Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Students show P.R.I.D.E. by respecting themselves, their potential, and each other.

Our school mascot is the Minuteman and a Minuteman, by definition, has two distinguishing characteristics. First, Minutemen were ingrained with a passion for the cause they believed in and second, Minutemen were always ready to perform their duties at a moment’s notice. The staff and students of Meadow Green strive to uphold these attributes today.

We have important jobs to do here at Meadow Green and as summer break comes to a close, rest assured, we have already begun to roll up our sleeves and are working hard to ensure that these wonderful kids are prepared, in every way, for the exciting challenges they will face this year.

We live in dynamic and changing times, however, Meadow Green will stay the course of excellence today and everyday. Our goal is to be passionate in the cause of higher learning and ready ourselves to action when the first child walks on campus each morning.

We will see everyone on Wednesday, August 16th for the 1st Day of School!  Please enjoy our website.
